Gee Lotay
MGRM Chief Instructor
|
The Organisations Chief Instructor G. Lotay. has had over 30 years of Martial Arts experience and has been training intermittently since. He has trained in many martial arts from Karate styles such as Renshin-kai and Shotokan Karate and has also experienced many forms of Kung Fu including Hung Kuen (five animals), Shaolin, Wu Shu and Wing Chun styles. In 1988 he was introduced to a full contact Kickboxing fighting system, which he studied with a world renowned trainer and fighter. This system of martial arts influenced a new way of thinking and encouraged him to train harder with both the London based instructor and the Midlands chief instructor for the Full Contact Kickboxing system, Jass Riat. This was the start of a new concept of thinking, shrugging off the shackles of traditional styles and incorporating the learned knowledge into a new dynamic fighting system influenced by Muay Thai.

Shihan Jass Riat
Chief Instructor KAMA
|
"My family moved to Birmingham in 1980 and I began training in Shotokan with Sensei Sid Gordon under the KUGB, where I gained my 1st Dan. I had began to compete firstly at a local and then national level where I took awards for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in kata and kumite. After 5 good years of training under sensei Sid Gordon I began to look forward for a new challenge! My search took me back to Shihan Joe Johal, who had now formed the British American Karate Clubs practising the Mugendo style of kickboxing. I was now given the opportunity to go to the prestigious WAKO European Kickboxing Championships as an international referee. Training here was very demanding but required committment, so for 2 years I made the trip to London every Friday to train under my instructor. I now had the knowledge and confidence required to teach, I opened my own club with around 20 regular students." |
