Each session consists of more than just learning self defence techniques, we give you the chance to concentrate and alleviate the stresses of everyday life as well as to improve your fitness and well being. This is accompanied by an opportunity to enhance self discipline through structured training, helping build character as well as mental and physical conditioning.
A normal session consists of a thorough warm up allowing blood circulation throughout the body preventing injury, closely followed by various stretching patterns imitating the many techniques that may be used during the session. Once warmed up and stretched you are then prepared to learn.
This may sounds mechanical, however it is not we all have fun and it is usually conducted with a partner or in trios with other students. Removing any intimidation and promotes making new friends informally. Furthermore there is no specific level of fitness or experience required, so you should not feel intimidated by this in any way, ‘we’ are here to help ‘you’ develop, we are all a team.

Having taken time to read this, the next step is to try the training for yourself. We welcome you to each of our sessions to come and take part in a class at any of our venues to see if it is right for you. Participants are advised to wear loose, comfortable clothing e.g. jogging bottoms and t-shirt are ideal. Participants are advised to bring a bottle of water! Simply give us a call and we can have a chat in which we can then advise you the most suitable and available session for you.
We will provide you with all the relevant information in order to become a registered MGRM member. The membership includes top class insurance cover, an exclusive club uniform at a special rate, excellent prices on equipment from our sponsors, www.duogear.co.uk and invitations to MGRM and all relative events. Upon registration, the student is ready to take part in the MGRM training system.
